This is a fantastic tabla solo. Maybe you know more about tabla then me - but there are tabla players like Latif Ahmed Khan, Samir Chatterjee, Shankar Lal and many others. And not to forget the unknown Ustad (!!!) Raimund Engelhardt, who is a patient and very good teacher of tabla and who says his job is to spread the music of tabla. His first lesson was: It is like the sea. You can swim fast and drown soon. Or you swim slowly and become one with it.

@markclowe of course i understand ustadji's concern. he and audience need to connect in such small baithak concerts. but unfortunately for us students , such high quality video(which can be a great source for fingering techniques) is completely screwed over by the huge black mic. but thanks for the great upload anyways.

the hillbilly hellraisers always head to carnival when it swings through dallas. we call it the carnEVIL. out of humor to ourselves. we have alot of fun there. it stops off at the valley view mall. mary talley is a wonderful person for running such a carnival. it provides so much fun for all. thank you for sharing this video and thank you to mary talley for running the carnival.

He looks like a classic rocker, along with Zakir Hussain who looks like Sir Jimmy Page. p.s. godly playing. but that goes without saying.

Gotta love that Muktha Das tabla, the sound it produces is super pure. But then again, its being played by, in my opinion, the greatest player in our lifetime.
